Hello,
I’m using the Fullwidth Masonry Gallery set to Perfect Auto. Placement and my problem is the thumbs skip or leave blank areas on the grid that should populate (and did populate at one point). Please see the link to give you a clearer understanding of the problem: http://www.charlestonwedding.com/2014/
Can you help me solve this problem? Thanks!
March 6, 2014 at 7:52 pm #233375Update: The problem resolved itself in chrome (since my original post) and safari appears to be ok on my macbook, however, the problem is persistent in chrome & firefox on a 27″ monitor??? Sorry, no way to upload screenshot that I see :/

March 7, 2014 at 7:42 am #233633Hey!
You can use imgur or clipular to post a screenshot here. I tried to resize the browser to increase the browser resolution and the masonry gallery adjust properly.
Cheers!

March 10, 2014 at 7:37 pm #234911Hey!
I see what you mean but I can’t see a reason that it should be happening. It doesn’t look like there is any conflicts going on but you can try deactivating any plugins that are currently active and then re-installing the theme over FTP just in case there was a corruption in the main javascript files which could cause the masonry script to not run correctly.
Before that you could also try adding one or two more images to that masonry section and see if its an issue with the calculation of that specific number/size. It *shouldn’t* be happening anyway so I’ve also tagged Kriesi on the topic to take a look into it as well.
Cheers!
DevinMarch 11, 2014 at 10:41 am #235352Hi!
This is unfortunately a problem with the masonry javascript itself. since the elements are placed by % values which are then converted to pixel values it sometimes seems that small rounding error occur which then renders the masonry wrong depending on the browser width. if the browser width is then adjusted a few pixels everything appears right.
I unfortunately cant really solve the problem and have to wait for the next release of the masonry javascript. The developer promised better calculation of those vales. for now the only possible way to fix this is to set it either to “perfect grid” where all elements are the exact same size or to “flexible masonry” where they appear with their natural height/width ratio
Regards,
KriesiMarch 13, 2014 at 2:59 am #236628Thanks for letting me know – although I’m a bit disappointed as this was one of the main selling features of this theme for my client. Do you have any idea when the dev. update could happen?
Thanks
