    Hello,
I was trying to compare two pages of my website.

These two pages are exactly the same with one exception: the first one does not have a fullwidth easy slider, while the second page has a fullwidth easy slider (containing a small video of 3MB).

In the first case the time to first byte is about 2.5 seconds, while in the second case, the time to first byte is about 7.3 seconds.

Why is there a difference of latency of 5 seconds?

My server is on amazon AWS with an instance type m3.large

    Hey rightshoes,

Server responses can vary a lot from time to time, I would suggest that you test several times to actually see if it’s loading slower or not. Also, which service are you testing your load times with? If there actually is a problem on your site then it’s likely that it’s related to the server where you site is hosted, not with the theme.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
