Photo images are successfully added to the library. But I have found that images that I created via my digital camera will not upload to the Fullwidth Easy Slider. In contrast, as a test, digital photo images copied from large organizations’ websites and uploaded to my library – they have no problem getting added to the Fullwidth Easy Slider. The digital photo images I took with my camera are JPG but I also have a few TIFF that I’d like to upload to this slider.
What do I need to do to be able to upload images created with my personal digital camera (they’re in my media library).
Thank you.

I think in this case filenames might be case sensitive. I’m guessing it works if you upload image.jpg but not image.JPG? Could you try if it works better if you rename your file endings to lower case?
Best regards,

Thank you for your reply. Actually, all of my media files have names that have extensions that are all lower case (.jpg and .tiff ). The problem:As a test, I upload 2 digital photo files from art museums, also .jpg files. Those files uploaded fine. But it seems it may be a problem because when I try to EDIT my own personal photo files, I get an error message: “Image data does not exist.” If the image data are not there (e.g., they don’t have the dimensions of the photo), how can I get my personal photo files to upload into the slider?
Also, these photos CAN upload when I just want Image as a content image. So it’s in the Slider where I’m running into the problem. What to do so that images upload regardless of the Media Element that I’m using?
Thanks,

July 14, 2015 at 5:26 am #472812Hey!
I’m not sure what’s going on in your backend to be honest, could you try to disable all plugins to see if that helps please?
Best regards,
RikardJuly 14, 2015 at 6:43 am #472831I just disabled all of the plugins and then tried to upload an image created from my digital camera, to the Fullwidth Easy Slider and it still did not work. Other suggestions?

This format (.tiff) is not supported by all browsers that’s why it’s not officially supported by WordPress. You have to convert the files to jpeg before uploading them to WordPress. You can find the image format browser stats here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_browsers#Image_format_support
Cheers!
IsmaelJuly 14, 2015 at 4:55 pm #473303Actually I am having this problem when I try to upload JPEG and tiff files, all created from my digital camera so it’s not an issue of tiff which I can convert. If since JPEG also is a problem, what can be done to make it be uploadable?
July 14, 2015 at 9:13 pm #473436Hi!
Please make sure the size of your image is low and your server does allow to upload the images of any format.
Also, make sure you do not have any memory limit that blocks and uploadingBest regards,
BasilisJuly 14, 2015 at 9:22 pm #473440The images upload with no problem when I use the image (JPEG and tiff) as the Media Element, Image. It’s only a problem when I upload using Fullwidth Easy Slider. The images are not too large.
My images, when uploaded to the library, says there are no image data, even though there are image data. So I can’t edit the images, either. But images that I grab from a large organization such as a university are no problem.
I do not have a memory limit. Any other suggestions ?

Like I said, .tiff format is not supported by WordPress so you have to convert those files to jpg, gif or png format. You can use photoshop or any image editor or an online converter (http://www.zamzar.com/convert/tiff-to-jpg/).
I uploaded a jpg file and place it inside the full width easy slider: http://foundinsitu.com/test/
Best regards,
