My website is using a static homepage with a Fullwidth Easy Slider as the first element on the page. There is a single image in the slider. However the image loads extremely slowly and frequently does not load in at all. I use GTMetrix as well as Lighthouse and the load times are unacceptable.

Can you help me resolve this ASAP?

    Thank you,

Thank you Victoria. This problem is new. I’ve had this website up for a year as is with no problems. This only started happening recently. It seems to be he slider.

I’ve reviewed the document. I assumed it was my hosting provider so migrated the site to Godaddy from Bluehost. The issue still remains. What I’ve noticed is this issue occurs with Enfold often. When I build the site it works great for months or even a few years and then sure enough the same problem occurs. I’ve tried Cloudflare, I’ve also paid Bluehost $900 to fix the problem with speed on their end, I’ve purchased an upgraded hosting package from Godaddy designed specifically for WordPress, I’ve compressed images, and many other things. The issue seems to be with the slider. Can you please help?
I’ve provided my credentials in the first message above.

Is there another way without using the slider to have a single image across top of page full width?

    Hi,

There is a 5 second waiting time for the server to respond even on the login page, please see private. Does that happen if you activate one of the default WordPress themes as well? If this was a general problem with the theme then all of our users would experience. That is not the case, so it’s very likely that it’s something local to your site or server settings.

You can have a full width image using a Color Section element if you don’t want to use a slider.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
