    Hi

    I have a site where I have a youtube video in the header which autoplays.

    I use Fullscreen Slider for this and it works perfectly on a desktop PC and a Laptop – all good here

    On mobile it loads the preview/fallback image that I added in the Fullscreen Slider Form Element so all good here also.

    The problem I have is on a iPad in either landscape or portrait mode it also loads the preview/fallback image and not the video itself.

    Whilst I understand the need for the fallback image on mobile, why is it treating the ipad the same as a mobile?

    I need the full video to autoplay on the iPad, how can this be achieved.

    I am running WordPress 5.0.3 and Enfold 4.4.1

    Your help would be appreciated

    Hey andybarn,

    The video player does recognize the Ipad as a mobile based on wp_mobile that is why it serves the mobile version.
    Changing it would need to do a lot of changes. :)

    In the mean time, can you please update the Enfold version to the latest?

    Thanks for your reply, are you saying that it is not possible to have the iPad recognised as a non mobile device?

    Will upgrading cure this?

    I tried to upgrade and was receiving 500 Errors after the upgrade and have logged a support call for this.

    You would need to try update through FTP then, it should fix the problem

    I have upgraded through FTP OK now, thamks.

    But back to my question.

    My client needs to have his youtube video play in the fulscreen slider when the pages are viewed on on ipad.

    Hi,

    The video backgrounds in the theme’s sliders are disabled by default on the mobile device. Have you tried using the layer slider instead?

    Hi Vinay

    Are you suggsting the Advances Layer Slider that comes with the theme or a different plugin?

    I can see 2 plugins that may work which are Layer Slider by By Web-Settler and Layer Slider By aumsrini, are you referring to any of these, and do they work with Enfold to give a full page video slider?
