Hi,
quick question to which i haven’t found anything regarding the enfold theme yet.
What”s the recommended best practice approach to image sizes w/i enfold with regard to image sizes as fullscreen/background–cover? I understand that this might be a difficult to answer question as per the numerous possible viewports/resolutions/technology solutions out there.
Basically I’d like to know whether it is necessary to accomodate for 4:3 AND 16:9 viewport ratios, and if yes if using e.g. Media queries to accomodate or if using the srcset attribute or even the <picture> tag in some cases is recommended/ possible etc..
Are there any recommendations out there regarding provided image sizes and their integration in fullscreen mode and responsiveness regarding the enfold theme?
Thanks!
Chris
Hey Chris!
Fullscreen background images on Color Section or on Fullscreen Slider would cover the height as well and especially on portrait mode of mobile devices, image would not fit correctly. You can use custom CSS code ( we can provide if you post the link to your page and point out the element ) to fit image vertically but then, there would be extra space below it, because of the ratio. You can also refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/hide-menu-itemselements-on-mobile/ and choose to display different elements on mobile and on desktop

Hi Yigit,
We will go with developing content specifically for the mobile platform as well in that case.
Thanks for the support… Remarkable!
