Full width slider with background colour

Hi,

This is not easy to describe in words!

I need to have a responsive full-width slider with images in the centre which stay the width of the page content area and have a full-width slider background colour which stretches to the full width of the browser screen leaving the centre image the same width as the page content.

If you look at the home page you will hopefully understand what I mean. The image with the aircaraft & car should be the same width as the header logo & menu area as well as the page body text area but the rest of the slider width should be a grey colour and bleed out to the full page width.

At the moment the width of the slider main image changes on different screen sizes and therefore no longer matches up with the body text & edge of logo. Basically I don’t want the center image stretched but rather the grey area either side of the main to stretch. Perhaps utilising a background grey colour?

I have examples of what I need but I am not sure how to send images?
