Hey Andy, thanks for your help. Yes, you may deactivate plugins.

Thanks. Can you provide us FTP access, as well? please ask you host if they are blocking Google Maps somehow. I could see that you’re using a Plugin for Google Maps API Key, is it working for you or not? is it working for you on another theme?Best regards,

I am using the same HostGator reseller account as my other websites, which are displaying the map properly now.
I do not have the Google Maps API plugin installed on other sites, and it did not appear to work for this website.
I also noticed that the Google API Dashboard is not showing any activity for this website, but it does show activity for my other website. Thanks again for your help,
Stephen
August 23, 2016 at 11:50 am #676308Hi,
if even the “Google Maps API plugin” did not work for you, then it’s obvious that it can’t work with the implemented version of Enfold neither. So it seems that something is blocking the Google Maps API on your end. Does it work for you wir a default WordPress theme (using “Google Maps API plugin”)? please let us know about your results.
Best regards,
AndyAugust 23, 2016 at 3:44 pm #676478Hello Andy,
Since I started the thread I am hoping to get the final answer to my question. Can you please help?
“I did follow the documentation and it now works but it does NOT have the ability to get directions directly from that map like on other google maps. I know there is a tooltip area but is there CSS that will make that active and not just basic test info? Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?”
August 24, 2016 at 4:26 pm #677096Hi,
answer our questions and follow our instructions if you want to get a final answer please.
Again: Activate a default WordPress theme and check if it’s working there for you or not. You can use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/api-key-for-google-maps/
If it’s still not working this way for you then we now that it’s not Enfold’s fault, but a general WordPress/Google problem and you need to contact them for further support.
Best regards,
AndyAugust 24, 2016 at 5:12 pm #677132I need to use a static map image for now, while I work to get client approval and launch their website.
After pointing their domain to my host and launching their website, I will attempt to add the Enfold Google Maps element back to the website and let you know how it goes.
Thanks for your help.

August 24, 2016 at 5:16 pm #677136Andy,
I installed the API Key Google Maps plug-in as you suggested, and before I could switch themes, the maps started working. So I’ll just leave this plug-in active for now.

If you use Cache-Systems like Comet Cache, be sure that your cache is deleted …
Otherwise the error will be shown :-)- This reply was modified 8 years, 4 months ago by docperi.

AndyAugust 26, 2016 at 5:27 pm #678259Andy: I did follow the instructions and the map is working but here is the question I was looking to have answered…..
“I did follow the documentation and it now works but it does NOT have the ability to get directions directly from that map like on other google maps. I know there is a tooltip area but is there CSS that will make that active and not just basic text info? I’d like to actually give directions not just show where it is on a map since they are usually used for just that, directions… Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?”
Any help on this please?
August 26, 2016 at 7:07 pm #678302Hylandgraphics,
I was able to accomplish this by putting HTML in the tool tip. Here is how I achieved this, you can replace with your address and the google map link to the directions. If you go to google maps, put in your address, then click the directions button, then highlight that page URL and replace mine below. You can use CSS to stylize your hyperlink.

Hope that helps.
