Hello,
*I am aware this question has been asked, however I’m looking for a hopeful new approach to solving this design issue.
I am looking at making the enfold theme adapt to a similar layout such as http://www.gq.com
– Full width header/menu
– Boxed layout in the centerNow the header part is easy, its getting everything in the center to remain a specific width which is tricky.
The main issues arrising with how much current layout is the following (notice red ‘x’ as parts I want removed):

http://prntscr.com/bivpzhI pretty set on wanting this to happen so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Even if it could potentially be added in an update? I know a few people want this.Regards,

you could just use a boxed layout, so go to Enfold->General Layout->Use stretched or boxed layout?->Boxed

AndyHey Andy that’s exactly the layout I want, however I still would like the header (navigation bar) and footer to be stretched to 100% of the browser width and not limited to the boxed layout.

We would be glad to help you with this customization, but at the moment there is no easy way to do this by using a small custom code snippet, so I am afraid its out of the scope of our support.
But please feel free to request such feature at our feature request system: https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/
This system allows us to keep track of user suggestions and lets you vote on the feature you would like to see the most. I am afraid though there is no guarantee that a feature will get implemented. If that’s something you really need you can always try to hire a developer for the task :)
