If you go to our website below, and scroll down about 1 screen. You will see a full page slider that is supposed to display a video and it has the text VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL AT TRIAD BAPTIST CHURCH – KERNERSVILLE NC
Time lapse of a themed stage install for VBS
It has been working for a long time just fine. Today it stopped working and now displays a black screen.

I just manually updated the theme today from 3.61 to 3.71
I did install WP Total Cache in the last week or so. I have disabled it and its still not working

If i create a new slider on a new page it seems to work.

Any insight would be great. Thanks

    Hey LifeIsNow001,

You have 3 different parent themes installed, could you try to delete the ones you are not using? Also, the latest version of the theme is 3.8 so please try updating to that as well: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Removed the backup parent themes, also updated to 3.8. Problem still persists.

    Thank you

    Hi,

Ok, could you try deactivating all plugins to see if one of them is causing a conflict please? You could try to recreate the element as well to see if that works.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

All plugins deactivated didn’t help. So i activated them again.

I tried to create a new full width slider on the home page at the bottom of the page, doesn’t show any video still, I tried a different video as well.
I tested it on the contact page though and it works.

    Cheers

I moved the video section to the bottom of the page because its still not working, thanks.

OK I disabled all the plugins for the second time and it still doesn’t work.

I did install W3 Total Cache most recently. But it has been disabled since the beginning of this issue. Its enabled again with all the other plugins because disabling them doesn’t seem to help.

Any other ideas? Its weird, I actually created a copy of the whole page, and loaded it onto a new page and it still doesn’t work.AND videos work on every other page, it seems to just be linked to that one page for some reason

    #719131

Is it possible its a youtube bug? Its just so weird, I really don’t want to have to backup and relaunch the site, not even sure if that will fix it.

Any other ideas? Feel free to disable any plugin you want to test it out. I’ve done it twice already.

So weird its only on the home page, I made a template out of that single video element and tried inserting it onto the contact page and it works fine.,

    Hi,

as you are using a caching plugin, would you mind opening your plugin’s settings page and temporarily deactivate the caching of your site? Then please try to clear your browser cache and hard refresh the site (Hold CTRL + SHIFT + RELOAD) to see if that solves the issue. If you simply deactivate your caching plugin, then caching will go on. Also ask your host if they are using any caching on your server.

    Best regards,
    Andy

OK I disabled the caching plugin from within its self, purged the cache, disabled and deleted the plugin completely and went in and removed any folders related to it, including deleting the cache folder.

It still seems to only affect videos on the “home” page, I have tried changing the home page to a different page, but that one page named “home” still won’t display videos, but it will display pictures.

I tried cloning the whole page to a new page called homepage, and it still doesn’t work. It’s like there’s something ON that page causing a problem.

I guess my next step will be to try clone each piece over to the a new page and see if that does it? Not really sure.

    Any other insights?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I think adding element by element would be a good approach yes, they you will know what is causing the issue. Please try that out and let us know how you get on with it.

    Best regards,

So i figured out why its doing it, not how to fix it.

I have about 5 youtube videos on the homepage. If i remove them then the full width video slider works, if i put them back it stops working. any ideas there?

    #722771

    Hi,

Instead of using the text block, please use the theme’s video element. Let us know if it helps.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #722838

I removed all the other videos and tested it, it worked, then i added 1 back in with the video element, that video I add in works, but the full width slider stops working jsut like it is now. I put the other videos back on as they were after i noticed it still didn’t work.

Thanks this is a really stumping me.

    Hi,

There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

    Best regards,
    Andy

    #724441

Removed old copy and installed 3.8 enfold via FTP. Also changed all other videos from iframe to the video element, still doesn’t work… Any other ideas?

    Thanks

    #724446

My youtube video on my home page does not work now either. It was working before the latest update. https://www.justoneafrica.org/

I disabled the W3 Total Cache and refreshed and it worked. What is going on with this plugin? It seems to be the culprit with many issues.

    #724492

I wonder if that caching program is still affecting it, even though I completely removed it, including manually deleting folders. Maybe it puts code into other files I can’t find, thanks for the input might help me track it down.

    Hi!

Are you familiar with the following url?

    // http://www.vcita.com/widgets/active_engage/1fd3b0260237300e/loader?format=js

Parser-blocking, cross-origin script, http://www.vcita.com/1fd3b0260237300e/loader.js, is invoked via document.write. This may be blocked by the browser if the device has poor network connectivity. See https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5718547946799104 for more details.

    Hi,

I’m sorry but I can’t find any hint or notification about the issue. Please try to update the theme to the latest version (3.8.3) and WordPress to version 4.7.1.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
