Hi, Enfold support team,
A basic question, but i didn’t find the answer searching the forum.
When using an Avia slider (Easy, Full-width, fullscreen), is there a big difference regarding browsing comfort (and only browsing comfort) if i’ve got 1 slide (say 200ko) or 10 slides (2Mo) ?
Or is the loading method “softening” the user experience, when files size is much bigger ?Thanks for your help and your fine work.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by that, could you try to explain a bit further please?
Best regards,
RikardNovember 18, 2016 at 4:41 pm #714099Thanks, Rikard. I am not really clear.
I’am trying to make my opinion about using a high number of slides in a slider regarding user experience, and only user experience. I’m aware about all the downsides of the global weight of a web page.
Are all the slides to be loaded to see the first one ?
I am talking about the sliders avalaible in the Avia Editor of course, not the Layer slider. Thanks for your help
November 21, 2016 at 5:19 am #714640Hi!
I’m not sure if I understand you clearly but I think your concern is the “loading speed” of the site. Every images in the slider or the page will be loaded simultaneously unless you’re using a “lazy load” script that is configured to work with the theme. Please optimize the images if you want to improve the loading speed.

I have the same question as the person who posted the original question. You mention that images in the slider or page are loaded simultaneously.
To confirm, when a page has a full width slider, are all images for a slider loaded first before the slider appears on the page?
Thank you.
January 18, 2017 at 5:33 am #735103Hi,
Yes, the slider will preload the image one at a time before it starts.
