    I want a frontpage with a slider or static intro material, then 3 or 4 boxes, each showing (the intro of) the latest post in a given topic (category?). I want to be able to add new posts to each of these topics, eg one will be blog articles, another will be video-based, another will be short bits of info/news. The front page should show (the intro to) the latest of each of these. I bought Enfold because I thought I could do this, having seen the demo of v10-magazine with Economy, Lifestyle, Science, Health. However, I have no idea how to accomplish this. Have I wasted my money? I’ve had a WP blog for years but feel I have no idea where to start with Enfold. All help gratefully received.

    Hi deadpeasent ;
    The easiest way to accomplish what you’d like to do is to install demo (Theme settings > Demo import > Deafult demo)
    You would see it’s easy to understand and recreate (in your own way) those demo pages.

    If you’ve specifique or more questions the forum is full of plenty of responses

    Thanks for replying. I have installed demos but have no idea how to make the specific frontpage that I described:
    • several boxes, each containing the latest post in a given area/topic/category
    For example, if I click on “Home v.10 Magazine”, it shows me a demo with Economy, Lifestyle, etc. Where are those things? How do I edit them? Are they categories? I have searched google, youtube, WP, and here to find explanations relating to what I would like:

    first of all the main information about Enfold http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/

    1 – how to make the specific frontpage ?
    Go to Theme settings and chose “your” frontpage.

    2 – Where are those things? How do I edit them? Are they categories?
    Those are the blog posts, and by “categories”, “post tags”, “post formats” and “potfolio entries” you can chose which one you will show in Magazine element.

    Thanks again begrafiks (and Elliott). It took me some time to get started, but I have now made progress. For a beginner it can be a gamble to invest in a premium theme because you’re not sure it will do what you want until you buy it. But Enfold is working out great and I am already recommending it to friends.
