    Hi there,

Original Domain > forwarding via frames > sub-domain on different server.

I have a website that I host (using your template), where the page has been forwarded from the original site by use of frames.

There is a snag with the forwarding – oddly only when seen on a mobile (iPhone) device, and only when viewed as the original (forwarding) domain name (details shown in private). The site either shows up in non-responsive view, or the page just keeps expanding until unviewable.

If viewed on the same mobile (iPhone) device directly from the current actual domain, where it’s live (also shown in private) there is no issue.

Is there a quick code solution or simple workaround to prevent the issue?

Thanks again you guys. Template is the best ever!

    Hi sd142ppr!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

Unfortunately, iframe forwarding or redirects will disable the site’s responsiveness. Please refer to this link for a possible fix: http://blog.thecompanywarehouse.co.uk/2012/08/22/cname-url-forwarding-frame-forwarding-which-is-best/

Best option is the 301 redirects via .htaccess. You can contact your hosting provider regarding this issue. Also, ask your host if IPS Forwarding is an available option.

    Cheers!

Thank you Ismael. A very comprehensive article!
We did the best thing possible – relocated back to the original domain space. Even better than a 301 redirect :-)

    Regards
    Steve
