Okay so what’s up with form shortcodes not working? Forms render on some sites and not on others.
[gravityform id=”1″ name=”Contact Us” ajax=”true” title=”false”]
Been using this for years, now it breaks?December 3, 2020 at 8:57 pm #1264884Hey crtdude,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Best regards,
VictoriaDecember 4, 2020 at 1:38 pm #1265002Hi Victoria, both sites use Wordfence and access is typically blocked from IPs outside the US. Also, I really don’t see how having access will help. We use Gravity forms on all our sites and the 2 sites below are the only ones to experience and issue. If you can push me in the right direction however, I might be able to figure out the solution. The same thing happened the other day and when I re-saved the form and the page it was on, it worked. Now, it does not again.

December 6, 2020 at 4:54 am #1265229Hi,
Great, I’m glad that you found a solution and thanks for the update. Please let us know if you should need any further help on the topic or if we can close it.

RikardDecember 7, 2020 at 5:05 pm #1265514Hi Rikard, apparently the fix was NOT a fix. Still not rendering on both sites. On several other sites the shortcode is just fine.
How are you supposed to use a shortcode within a code block when the message Enfold displays says “Warning: Characters <,>,[,] might break ALB backend or frontend. Read more if you want to use them.”
One would expect with the maturity of the Enfold product I should not have to enable debug mode to try and figure out what is going on.
December 8, 2020 at 6:50 am #1265695Hi,
You should be able to simply paste the shortcode plain and simple, the message is only a warning to not leave any code open, since it might break the Layout Builder. Where can we see and reproduce the problem you are having?

RikardDecember 8, 2020 at 1:31 pm #1265746Yes, I know. This is what is so strange. Here’s further information. This started a while back and seemed intermittent at first. Yesterday I made 3-4 layout changes to the pages on sites where it was not rendering. Finally got them to show up and now, boom, the next day, nothing again.
Sites where the form is not rendering properly, even after numerous layout changes to accommodate it. Both of these WERE working properly as of yesterday right after I made the last round of form page changes.

Thanks for that. I’m seeing error messages from both the form plugin and from Autoptimize on both those pages. Could you try disabling or clearing the cache from Autoptimize to see if that makes any difference please? If you need further help then please include login details to one of the site where you are having problems, so that we can have a closer look.
Best regards,
RikardDecember 9, 2020 at 10:53 pm #1266151Hi Rikard, thanks for the heads-up. FYI, I stopped using Autoptimize as that was the cause of the issue. I reverted back to using SG Optimizer for my performance plugin. Thanks for the assistance.
