I noticed this this morning that every page on my site that has a form on it keeps the Layout Builder from rendering.
I tested the problem out when I was rebuilding the page from scratch. I would test every new element. Then when I added the form, the page would not save and instead go to a page not found. So, I tried creating another new page using the “Templates” option. (I had a complete version of a past home page save there. It had a contact form on it). When I simply apply the new template to the new page, it looks okay (Layout Builder appears), but when I save I get the same issue as above: does not save and goes to Page Not Found.
So, I repeated the above (same template), but this time before I saved, I deleted the form element. And this version saves.
Have you heard of this issue recently?
May 6, 2017 at 8:04 am #788761I think I’ve narrowed down the cause of the above problem.
When I select within the form options “select element” in “Form Element Type”, it is what crashes the page.
I’ve created a testing page for you (see link in Private. You’ll see your Dashboard permissions there as well.) Go into that page and switch any of the form fields to “select element” and see if you get the same problem. Thanks!
May 7, 2017 at 8:59 pm #789182Hi,
Can you please try re-upload the theme from FTP?
I do not see any error at console, so it would be better to try that first and test while u also disable all of the plugins pleaseBest regards,
BasilisMay 8, 2017 at 6:00 am #789324Hi Basilis,
Yes, that I’ve tried (and just did it again). Turned off the plugins as well. Still the same issue with the form.
I don’t know if this is related, but when I copy a LayerSlider and try to edit the copied version, I get the error message:
It seems there is a server issue that prevented LayerSlider from saving your work. Please check LayerSlider>SystStatus for potential errors…This I’ve check. It seems fine.

VictoriaMay 9, 2017 at 5:35 am #789969Regarding the Layout Builder not loading, I’ve tried Victoria’s linked recommendations. Nothing worked. [That site is down for the moment.]
I now have another of my sites affected by the layout builder not working (see private for location details).
Some of the Pages will load the Layout Builder, where some don’t. One Post-type (“itineraries”) example: http://karnaliexcursions.com/itineraries/char-dham-yatra-2017 does not load the Layout Builder, but http://karnaliexcursions.com/itineraries/shree-amarnath-yatra-2017 will load.
I thought that maybe the first Post was corrupted? So, I went about rebuilding the “char-dham-yatra-2017” Post (http://karnaliexcursions.com/itineraries/char-dham-yatra-2017-new/) and tested as I went along. At an obscure point, which is when I changed the Title within the “Icon List”, and went to save, it wouldn’t and took me to a 404 page not found.
This is becoming a crisis over on my end since I use Enfold for nearly all of my clients now. I can’t even do a simple text edit to a Post because the Layout builder hides content. (Is there a way to get into an existing page to make minor edits while this matter is getting resolved?)

VictoriaMay 10, 2017 at 2:46 am #790766Hi Victoria,
Darn. There was a typo in the location of the working page. So, the the above description is correct except for the 2 pages to compare. Here is what I should have written:
http://karnaliexcursions.com/itineraries/char-dham-yatra-2017 does NOT load the Layout Builder, but http://karnaliexcursions.com/itineraries/shree-amarnath-yatra-2017-new WILL load. And as explained above, I thought that maybe the first Post was corrupted? So, I went about rebuilding the “char-dham-yatra-2017” Post (http://karnaliexcursions.com/itineraries/char-dham-yatra-2017-new/) and tested as I went along. At an obscure point, which is when I changed the Title within the “Icon List”, and went to save, it wouldn’t and took me to a 404 page not found.
Thanks for helping,
May 10, 2017 at 3:35 am #790775One other thing, Victoria, I’ve learned from my hosting company that there servers are upgrading from PHP 5.6.30 to PHP 7.0.
I have about 6 other client accounts using Enfold with this particular hosting company. So, I need to make sure that there won’t be a PHP issue on your end. Thanks much.
May 10, 2017 at 8:59 am #790916Victoria (or other Enfold tech),
I’ve spoken with my hosting company and they think that a recently placed security setting on their end may be part (or all) of the problem. This will take a day or so to test out. I will get back to you ASAP.
Thanks,May 11, 2017 at 4:31 pm #791717Hi laptophobo,
Thanks for the update. I thought you had php 5.4, anyway, it’s a good thing they are upgrading and the mod_security can very much be part of the issue, from what I’ve read on other forums.
If you need further assistance please let us know.

VictoriaMay 12, 2017 at 6:33 am #792082Hi Victoria,
The problem has indeed been resolved. Tested on 2 separate websites and hosting accounts. The problem was indeed security settings by the hosting company (Westhost). About a week ago (which is when the problems were being noticed) they had arbitrarily made some changes to the server security settings, thus creating havoc with the Enfold theme. Hopefully, this will help others finding similar issues going on.
