I am having formatting issues with pages on my website (using the Enfold theme). The page format seems to work on some pages and not others, and that changes each time I check the website. I have looked into the WP admin side and everything looks fine with no obvious errors. Once I check the page again, then the formatting is correct. It is very odd and inconsistent, which is making it hard to pinpoint the problem. Please see the images in the Private Content to see what I am referring to.
I just manually updated the theme files to the most recent version.
Thank you,
AmyJuly 11, 2017 at 8:39 am #819155Hey anonnraleigh,
Please send us a temporary admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply. Also please post links to a page where we can see the actual problem.
Best regards,
RikardJuly 11, 2017 at 3:31 pm #819426Hello Rikard,
I have included the admin login details in the Private Content below. Of course, I am looking through the website right now and cannot find a page that is currently having the formatting issues. If I come across one today, I will send you the link.
Thank you,
AmyJuly 11, 2017 at 11:42 pm #819712Hello again,
A few pages were showing the formatting issues this morning, although they look fine now. Please see the links in the Private Content section below.
Thank you,
AmyJuly 12, 2017 at 5:09 am #819774Hi,
Thanks for the details, you’re saying that they look fine now, so they are back to the way they should be? If so then you were likely getting cached results before?
Best regards,
RikardJuly 13, 2017 at 2:40 am #820301Hi Rikard,
I wish that were the case. It seems to still be happening. It will show up on one page, and then 20 minutes later that page will look fine. I will keep trying to get a link to a page that is actively showing the errors and hopefully you will be able to see what I am referring to.
Thank you,
AmyJuly 14, 2017 at 3:27 pm #821216Good Morning,
I have placed links to a group of pages that are showing the formatting issues this morning. Can you please let me know if you see what I am referring to?
Thank you,
AmyJuly 15, 2017 at 4:31 am #821530Hi,
Thanks for that. This must be because of caching, I opened all the links you posted without being logged in to WordPress and they were all showing the error. I logged in and the error was gone. Most caching plugins don’t show cached pages to users who are logged in. I purged the cache from the the option in the backend, logged out, and the error was gone. Could you try to clear the cache from all the pages where you are seeing that problem please?
Best regards,
RikardJuly 17, 2017 at 7:06 pm #822825Hi Rikard,
I have cleared the cache from my web browser and it is still showing errors on a lot of the pages today. Please see the Private Content for the links. Any other ideas what could be causing this?
Thank you,
AmyJuly 19, 2017 at 4:16 am #823614Hi,
I can still see the problem that you mentioned, I did the same thing I mentioned in my reply with the same results. The problem must be due to caching, on what level I’m not sure though. Did you try clearing the cache from your caching plugin and leave it deactivated?
Best regards,
RikardJuly 19, 2017 at 5:46 am #823664Hi Rikard,
There is no caching plugin activated on this website. Is that something that needs to be added?
Thank you,
AmyJuly 19, 2017 at 12:38 pm #823915Hi Amy,
Ok, thanks for the feedback. Then that is likely being added by your hosting provider, you can see the Caching menu on the top menu when you are in the backend of WordPress.

RikardJuly 21, 2017 at 5:36 am #824965Hello again,
I cleared the cache through the WP Admin Dashboard… but I am still seeing the issue on many pages.
Thank you,
AmyJuly 22, 2017 at 5:20 am #826742Hi Amy,
Ok, thanks but I’m not sure that I can do anything else about your problem. I’ve tried clearing the cache 3 times on your site and it works each time. It does seem to come back though, maybe you could try contacting your hosting provider to see what they have to say. If they are applying the caching then they should know how to clear it as well.

RikardJuly 27, 2017 at 4:01 am #830436Hello again Rikard,
I think that I have found out what the real issue is… there is Mixed Active Content on the site. Our website is HTTPS, but the URL links to the theme files and CSS are HTTP. I also receive an error message that the “style sheet could not be loaded” in web console.
Thank you,
AmyJuly 30, 2017 at 7:13 am #831714Hi Amy,
Thanks for the feedback, I’m not sure where you are seeing that error though? Or maybe you found a solution already?

I apologize, it was an issue with our SSL certificate. You can disregard.
Thank you for your reply.

RikardNovember 24, 2017 at 6:00 am #881061Hi Amy,
What was the issue with your SSL certificate? Thank you for sharing. I seem to be having a similar issue as well and I see other people on the forum are too. My SSL certificate checks out so I’m not sure if it’s that still?
Thank you,
JonathanNovember 24, 2017 at 3:59 pm #881254Hi jgoldberg1983,
Can you please describe your issue in more detail and give us a link to your website.
