My search results page looks totally different from the demo page. It’s always done this, even before and after installing Relavenssi. The page only shows one result title and snippet, then the navigation for the other results. This is cumbersome. How can I get my search results page to follow the demo format where results are listed vertically and you can scroll down to see more results?

This kind of modification is considered as a custom work so you have to hire a freelance developer to edit the search page template. Search result page is WordPress’ default behavior and not controlled by the theme.

This doesn’t seem to need custom work. I don’t think my search results page is rendering the default layout. Folks in this forum talk about sidebar and breadcrumbs, as seen on the demo result page: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/?s=test Shouldn’t my search results page match the demo?

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
Login credentials include:
- The URL to the login screen.
- A valid username (with full administration capabilities).
- As well as a password for that username.
- permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.

AndyWordpress and all plugins have been updated. This did not change the layout of the search results page. Problem still remains. Not sure why it would have, but nonetheless, it’s all set.

I noticed that you are using a caching plugin. Would you mind opening your plugin’s settings page and temporarily deactivate the caching of your site? Afterwards deactivate this plugin again and all other plugins, too. Then please try to clear your browser cache and hard refresh the site (Hold CTRL + SHIFT + RELOAD) to see if that solves the issue.

Did your team customize the demo’s search results page or should your customer’s page look the same out of the box?

it’s working fine on our end and not we did not customize anything on the search page.
There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

I’m not sure I’ve communicated the problem correctly. My search function and said results does indeed work. It’s the page layout and how the results are presented that is incorrect. Mine is completely different from the Enfold demo’s page. It has done this since day-one of installing the theme. And, it occurs across several website installations of the theme so it’s not local to this website. As such, I’m not sure how a complete reinstall or WP update would impact it, as suggested.Hoping to finally get this resolve and I really appreciate your help!

this is not happening on our end and we can’t reproduce the issue. It should work like in Enfold’s demo. Please keep all plugins and customizations deactivated after installing a fresh copy (and deleting everything beforehand).
