March 7, 2019 at 4:44 am #1075735Hey likegluelikecrew,
Thank you for the login and the ftp access, they worked for me. Although I see that you are using a very old version of Enfold v4.0.7
and that your PHP version is 5.3.29 where PHP version 5.6 is the minimum.
This is probably why you couldn’t update, and using Enfold v4.0.7 is probably why your Instagram is not working. The file I have is to patch v4.5.4
First, please ask your webhost to update your PHP to at least v5.6, then I will assist in updating your Enfold.Best regards,
MikeMarch 8, 2019 at 12:08 am #1076155Thanks Mike, I had the webhost update to PHP 7.2. Will you try again and let me know?
March 8, 2019 at 1:39 am #1076185Hi,
Thank you, I see that your theme folder has an unusual directory name, “enfold_bak” this is not an issue but you should note that. I renamed your current theme to “enfold-old” then I uploaded the new “enfold_bak” and checked that your site is working correctly. Please also check for yourself.
Once you are happy you, (or I) can delete the “enfold-old” via ftp, (not the WP theme page)
Should for some reason you wish to roll-back to the old version, it’s easy to do, simply rename the new “enfold_bak” to “enfold-new” via ftp and then rename “enfold-old” to “enfold_bak” then refresh your page.I added your instagram to your page sidebar widget to test and it is working now please check.
Best regards,
MikeMarch 8, 2019 at 2:39 am #1076196Hi Mike, I have no idea why the theme folder would be named that, when I checked through Filezilla it was just named Enfold. The Instagram widget is working now, although the Menu is now out of order (It should be Home Shop About Contact) and the footer is messed up (it used to have a link to a youtube video, and article and sign up for a mailchimp mailing list, all of that is now gone). I also had to add the Facebook widget back, as that one had disappeared also.
Do you know what happened? Was it just from the update? Not sure how to fix the footer and menu.
March 8, 2019 at 6:10 am #1076231Hi,
I took a look at your menu and found that the menu was not set in the settings, so I fixed that. I don’t know why it would have changed other that your theme was very old and may have not communicated well with the new one during the first load, I have not seen this happen before.
When I first logged in before uploading the new theme I saw that all of the widgets were removed from the widget areas & footers, but they were down lower in the “Inactive Widgets” area. I just assumed that you did that.
So I put the widgets back in the footers, but I had to guess were they go, please adjust to suit.
Please check again.Best regards,
MikeMarch 8, 2019 at 8:46 pm #1076467It’s all good in the hood! Thanks Mike, I appreciate the help! So does this mean for future updates the Dashboard>Enfold>Theme Update will now work?
March 9, 2019 at 1:13 am #1076515Hi,
That is great news, you will need to ensure that you have registered the theme and created to Envato Token. Envato has changed from a API to a Token. Please follow the instructions here
Then You should be all set. Once you follow these instructions please let us know when we can close this thread.Best regards,
