    after i updated to version 4.8.8.1 the footer disappeared. Please help!

    Hi Chris,

    Are you overriding header.php in your child theme? If so, then please try to copy the parent file to your child theme, then add your customisations back after that. If you need further help, then please send us a temporary WordPress admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.
