Tagged: Footer widgets
Hello Support,
I did the most recent update (this morning pacific time) and the WIGTS (four columns) in the Footer “broke”. It is loading default information instead of what is actually in the WIGT Elements.
We do have a footer file in the child theme. I removed the footer file from the Child Theme and it broke the site worse.
It has been so long since I worked on the Child Theme elements, I am not sure what was changed. Changes possibly came from previous Enfold Support – I am not a PHP programmer. (Though I follow instructions fairly well. I understand the concepts…)
I have placed Site Admin info and FTP info in the Private Content area… Can you help me get the Footer Element operational again?
Sincerely,
Greg
Hey Greg,
Thanks for the login details. It’s working as it should when I disable footer.php and header.php in your child theme. Could you try updating those files with the content from the parent theme to see if that helps please? You can add your customisations back in after that.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hello Rikard,
OK – it is back to normal. I only disabled the footer.php file, not knowing that the header.php was associated.
All is working properly – thank you for your quick response. This post can be closed.
Sincerely,
Greg
Hi,
Great, I’m glad that you got it working, and thanks for the update. I’ll close this thread for now then, please open a new thread if you should have any further questions or problems.
