    Hi, I’ve never had this issue before but now — when I choose “Select a page to replace footer and socket” and set it to my newly created page “Footer”…the website continues to show the old ‘widget based column’ footer instead. How to I get this option to work again?

    I have deactivated all plugins which did not fix the issue.

    Hey Slade,

    Are you overriding header.php or footer.php in a child theme? If so, then try replacing those files with the parent theme file. If you need further help, then please include WordPress login details as well.

    Hey Rikard! That worked like a charm! I had read this and only updated the footer.php but by replacing both header and footer.php it appears to work as expected. Thank you again!
