    Hi,

I’ve moved my site to a remote server using wp-db-sync and then I’ve recently just moved it over to a new url – everything looks fine except the footer looks strange.

This is the URL of the site:
    bwpainting.com.au

This is what the footer looks like on the site:
    http://prntscr.com/kg1y5b
    http://prntscr.com/kg1ycb

And this is what the footer looks like on my local server
    http://prntscr.com/kg1xod
    http://prntscr.com/kg1xwa

As you can see there is a difference and I’m trying to work out what to do.

Here is the export file I exported from my local site:
    http://www.bwpainting.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Enfold-theme-settings-2018-8-5.txt

Any input would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hey HeadStudiosWeb,

It looks like the footer widgets where not copied over, could you try to manually copy the content from your local install to the live site to see if that works please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

The issue is not with the contents of the widgets but rather with the styling – I’d like the styling to look like what it does on my local server – and I don’t know why it doesn’t.

Are you able to give any insight specifically regarding the styling of the footer of the page (including the contact form) – and why it is showing differently?

I’ve created a video to show that I do the export of the theme settings file from my local to my remote and the CSS issues are still there:

Any input would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

    Thanks for the video :-)

When importing theme settings they sometimes don’t take effect immediately unfortunately, could you try to simply toggle or change one or two settings in the theme options and then save again to see if that helps please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

I have tried to do this but it did not fix the issue (I changed the ‘Maximum Container Width’ by 1 pixel in the General Layout settings page.
Is there anything else I can do?
    Thanks

    Never mind – I fixed it :)
