    Hello support,
    i’m actually struggling after updating the website to the last version (5.1).
    I’m using a child but i haven’t edited the footer.php..
    I’ve tried to change everything on the footer section and then setting them again but doesn’t work.

    The weird thing is that actually i can see the widgets in widget.php area but nothing is shown under appareance->customize->widget.

    How can i fix the issue?

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Did you modify the footer.php file, or is there a copy of the template file in the child theme directory? If there is, please delete the template file temporarily or make sure to update it using the latest version of the footer.php file. We tried to check it but the Appearance > Theme File Editor is not accessible.

    Nope, there is no footer.php in the child folder.
    If you need a file manager feel free to install one.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. Are you overriding header.php in your child then? If so, then please replace that with the parent theme version, then add your customisations back in after that. If you should need further help, then please share FTP login details with us as well.
