    I have deleted content from column 1 and 3 on the footer widgets on the backend, however the widgets are still visible on the frontend.
    The widgets I want to remove are the “interesting links” and “categories” widgets on the footer.

    I’m also unable to edit the copyright text at the bottom as this widget is not present in the widget menu on the backend.

    Help please…

    For the copyright text you only have to add a little shortcode after your inserted content: [nolink]

    For your footer:
    You want to preserve the space for column 1 and 3 empty – and have the column in the center filled with content ?
    Or do you like to have only 1 Column for the whole width?

    Hi JBLOCK110,

    If you leave widget areas empty, then the theme will add dummy content. If you want the widget areas to be empty, then please add an empty text widget to the area for example.
