Hi, I’ve imported fontello icons and they aren’t displaying on my site when the CDN is active. I’ve deactivated CDN –> flushed cache –> reactivated CDN multiple times and it doesn’t work. If I leave the CDN deactivated, the site works fine. The site is hosted via a managed wordpress hosting account on GoDaddy.

    Hey sjahan,
Thanks for the link to your site, I see your site is giving an error Failed to decode downloaded font from a javascript p3cdn1.secureserver.net/wp-includes/js/dist/vendor/lodash.min.js note that the url contains “cdn”
I assume that the lodash javascript is used by your cdn to serve your site from the cdn, but I don’t know how it works or why it is trying to “decode” your font, this is surely and error but we don’t typically address cdn issues so I recommend asking your cdn about this.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Ok, thanks Mike. I chatted with the CDN provider and they said they can’t change anything on their side and it’s not an issue with them…any suggestions other than disabling CDN?

“I am afraid that we are not able to change Content Delivery Network settings according to that particular theme. This is not a CDN issue, but the theme is configured to work that way. Please ask your developer if some workaround for that issue can be implemented in your theme”

    Hi,
I’m not sure so I have asked the rest of the team for advice, please reply back so your thread is visible to all of our team members. In the meanwhile can you try excluding the fonts from being served by the CDN and see if that helps. Thank you for your patience.

    Best regards,
    Mike

I unfortunately can’t choose to exclude things from the CDN, it’s an all or nothing capability…

    Hi,
Please include a link to your custom fontello icon zip file so I can test on my test site.

    Best regards,
    Mike

you like to load fontello icons locally – but not from cdn?
where do you load your other fonts? from cdn?
did you see the option field on Performance – “Custom Font loading source” – there is an option to load fonts from cdn

but first you had to check the mark: “Show Advanced Options”
