Hello,
i noticed a strange behavior of the cached files on my website after the latest updates (3… to 4.4).
I’m running all the latest WordPress and Enfold updates as well as Wpml and W3tc for caching the website.
The English version of my website is cached normal as it should without any problems, however if switch over to the German version and test it with Pingdom i notice that 3 files by Enfold aren’t cached anymore: First the css file: avia-merged-styles as well as 2 JS files: avia-head-scripts and avia-footer-scripts. In total this is a 100kb difference between the English and German version of the page.
Before the update the “German” scripts used to have a “/de/” within the url so i could individually add those to the caching plugin and cache them. After the update this wasn’t possible anymore.
I added 2 example pages of my website to the private section so you can check it out and compare it.
I’m not sure why those files aren’t cached in the German language version as the German version is basically treated as a normal page.
I hope someone could help me as i would like to have everything cached.
Thanks
Manuel
I found the solution myself now. It was a problem with Wpml and W3 Total Cache. Incase someone has a similar problem here is the solution: https://wpml.org/errata/w3tc-is-not-minifying-files/
