So, my feed keeps breaking. It says:
This page contains the following errors:
error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.I have used plugins and such that fix the feed, but now that I am using a CDN those plugins interfere with the CDN. Therefore, I hired a professional to uncover the reasoning – if it was a plugin, etc…I got the report back today. Please read what he had to say and help:
So I did extensive digging and testing on this issue. It does appear that the way the child theme works with enfold is the cause of the feed breaking. I was able to get all of the same plugins active and switched to the enfold theme and it works properly:
I actually went through all of the themes files for both the parent and the child. There were tons of files in there that had blank space at the end. Removing those caused the enfold theme to work but for some reason the child theme does not seem to work. There is something about the way this child theme works with the parent that is causing it to continually break the feed. I looked through all of those php files for the child theme and couldn’t find any outstanding php files with blank lines at the end. Can you please run this issue by the code author to see if they are including/calling any php files from other sites or if they can just help to get the errors with the theme resolved? I’ve manually removed the ending blank lines for the parent and child themes in a test environment already but for some reason the child theme is being very stubborn.

Thank you for using Enfold.
Do you mind if we take a look at the actual page with the issue? Please post the website url here. Did you add any modifications on the child theme?
Cheers!
