    Hello everyone,

    I am very satisfied with enfold theme, and so far this is the first problem that occurs.

    Problem is, when i try to share post via “share social buttons” on facebook, it displays wrong image, or there is no image at all.
    This functionality does not worth much if featured image is not displayed properly on facebook.

    It seems like the other social networks working fine ( g+ , twiter, linkedin ..)

    So far i tried with everything that i could find on this forum:
    – Yoast SEO -> add open graph meta data
    – installed latest enfold theme
    – deactivate / activate plugins
    – clearing browser’s cache
    – added some code to function.php

    I’m grateful for any tips,

    and let us know what are the results. Can you locate them and fix them, with that help?

    Hi Basilis, thanks for quick tip

    Not sure i’m understanding anything from link that you have provided to me, but it seems to be working :)

    I entered post’s url’s at this link:
    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

    then “debug” and after that “Fetch new scrape information”
    It somehow re create meta tags, and each shared post now have appropriate featured image on fb wall.

    It also notifies me with error, that app_id hasn’t been included in the meta tags. Should i pay attention for that?

    I am wondering, is this change permanent? Will i have to do this again in future? If not, i have no problems with a few clicks on above mentioned link, when the new post is published.

    Thanks for the help, it means alot atm,

    Hi,

    Great, glad you got it fixed. Facebook has their own caching functionality so you might have to do this again but if you don’t change the image you shouldn’t have any problems.

    Thanks Rikard,

    Even if i change feature image, it wont require much time to paste link to fb. If the other posts stay untouched, this is definitely best solution for me.
    I always looking for solution that avoids additional plugins.
