Tagged: featured image
Hi there,
I’ve searched on this forum and although it looks like others have the same questions, I couldn’t find the answer to my problem.
To display my blog posts on my front page, I’m using the Single Author, large preview option. The ratio of my featured image is 6:4. However the blog’s large preview outputs something like a 4:1 ratio, thereby cropping my image. I’d like the preview to be the same size as whatever my featured image is, which is mostly 6:4. I tried changing the height option in functions.php but that did nothing, and I tried playing with the Image resize plug-in but that did nothing either. Am I missing something? Is there an option to change how much of the featured image is shown as the large preview? ie. just change the dimension of the container of the preview image?
You can see my blog here: http://www.smaku.com/blog/ the two latest posts have the smaller preview, but the third last post has the preview size that I would like. This post was made when I had another theme applied, so I’m guessing that’s why it’s like that?
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
Hi tkumabe!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
Go to Settings > Media then look for the entry_without_sidebar size thumbnail. Adjust the size, update then save changes. You can either upload the images again or regenerate the thumbnails.

Ismael
Thanks Ismael! That worked. I was changing the entry_with_sidebar option because that’s the option that I kept seeing in this support forum! I have a sidebar on my homepage though, so I figured that would be the right one—I guessed incorrectly!
Thanks; you can close this case now.
