I’m having a problem displaying my updated Featured Image for my Homepage.
I originally added this Featured Image to my Homepage [OLD]:
https://savvyify.com/img/image/fPpAI changed my Featured Image to this image on my Homepage [NEW]
https://savvyify.com/img/image/f4C3The NEW Featured Image displays as expected on the backend (WordPress), but not the front end when shared (Shows OLD image).
When I share a link to my home page via text, email or via Facebook, the OLD Featured Image is shared even though the NEW Featured Image was added to the Homepage and SEO Yoast – Social.
I even deleted my Featured Image all together and the OLD Featured Image is still showing up when I share a link.
Note: I also cleared the cache for my browser, but that didn’t help either.
UPDATE (2022-02-06):
I checked with my hosting provider and they do not have caching enabled for my site.
I do not have a caching plug-in that I’m aware of
I deactivated all Plug-ins
I’m still having the same issue. No idea where this Featured Image could be stored. How can I fix this – please? Thank you.
Best Regards,
Julio

February 6, 2022 at 6:32 pm #1339191Hey Julio,
When a featured image is added to the homepage or any page, that image is not included in the page source code, the image is requested by another function, such as when a featured image is shown on a post, but for pages this is not typical.
You say that when the page is shared the image shows, but I don’t see any social sharing links on your site so I assume this is handled by something like your SEO Yoast plugin, I know of nothing in the theme that would do this, so I suggest looking at your SEO Yoast settings and perhaps cleared your cache?
Perhaps it has something to do with your social site, for example on this forum the profile photo is added by linking your email address to a Gravatar account, this is connected to WordPress. Once you create an account and login you can add your profile photo and it will show on every WordPress site that you login to.
So perhaps your old featured image is on FB somewhere? I don’t know, I don’t use FB 🙂
When I add screenshots I copy the HTML Medium image (linked) code and paste it into the editor

Thanks for the suggestion on addressing this issue and your responses to my other questions.
I was able to fix this issue by going to the bottom of the Homepage (see image below) and once I added the Featured Image here the correct image was displayed as I shared the Homepage link. Hope this helps others using Enfold & SEO Yoast plug-in.
Please close this topic.
Thanks again for your help.
