I went to change a feature image in my Portfolio image items and it won’t recognize a new feature image. I have tried to add a new portfolio item and it does the same thing. Any suggestions? Portfolio items I haven’t touched are still there. WordPress gives me no help.
Thanks,

October 25, 2016 at 7:45 pm #703939Hi,
Can you post the link to the page that has those portfolio images and point to us what’s the portfolio that doesn’t change the featured image even if it was already changed in the backend? you can post the link in the private content section.

NikkoOctober 29, 2016 at 6:41 pm #705580I’m also having this issue with Featured Image no longer saving…Is there a way to roll back updates because I don’t want to pay again for a theme I’ve had for years…?? It worked fine before the latest updates.
I set the featured image in portfolio and it loads, but as soon as I hit save–it’s gone.
Also when I try to add a new portfolio post, it no longer even shows featured image as a box entry. Thanks,

Login should work…can you try one more time? I tried updating the password. Thanks for the link to roll back. I’ll do that if there isn’t a solution. I tried deleting the entire theme ftp and reinstalling (fyi).
thanks,

November 1, 2016 at 10:16 pm #706871Hi,
The issue is a bit weird, adding new portfolio item will not show featured image box but editing displays it. Can you try to remove all plugins and check if the issue still persists? if it does, I would like to request for ftp access.

NikkoNovember 27, 2016 at 9:40 pm #717497Hi Nikko,
This is a theme portfolio post issue. When I switch to WordPress themes, the featured image is saving fine. Can you let me know how I can fix?
thanks,
FarrinNovember 30, 2016 at 5:16 am #718623Hi,
You have to use the theme’s “Featured media” box because the theme is not using the default featured image option. Click the green “Add image to slideshow” button. The first image that you uploaded will be set as featured image automatically.

IsmaelDecember 1, 2016 at 4:53 pm #719337Hi Ismael,
This has NOT been the case for ALL of my previous posts…They absolutely have featured images. And it’s actually a big UX problem for me because instead of providing a thumbnail view and then users click on the portfolio (mostly videos in my case) and then the video pops up big and plays. Using the “featured media” box means that the first portfolio item is just a still picture–instead of the videos. Users are supposed to figure out that they need to click the tiny little arrow to get to the actual video content? Not good for my uses anymore. I guess I’ll have to start the hunt for a new video portfolio theme if this weird new problem can’t be corrected.
Thanks,
FarrinDecember 3, 2016 at 8:57 pm #720087Can you let me know how I can roll back to a previous version? I guess the previous to the last update? I need one that does not interfere with the featured image function of wordpress on posts. It used to work and it works when I switch themes. I need to be able to have featured images.
Thanks,
FarrinDecember 6, 2016 at 5:57 am #720835Hi,
This has been the default option for “older” themes ever since. I’m not sure how you managed to use the default featured image option before. Actually, you can find a lot of old threads here, more than 2 years old, asking for the same thing.
