Tagged: favicon
I uploaded the site’s favicon (through Enfold > Theme Options) when I first started building our company’s website (about a month ago). Everything was fine but it stopped appearing from yesterday and still remains that way. Why is this happening?
Hey pencefinancial,
Thanks for the link to your site, you are getting this error:
Mixed Content: The page was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure favicon. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.
Please check the theme options for your favicon and ensure the url is https
Then clear your browser cache and any cache plugin, and check again.
Best regards,
Mike
I’m not sure what this means. I was using the temporary http url the entire time. I have other sites in working progress under http urls and the favicon are showing up just fine.
Hi,
In this case your page is loading as https but the favicon is loading as http so the browser is blocking it as insecure (not https)
if your whole site was loading as http it would be fine, so the solution was to place an “s” in your url
I did this for you, please clear your browser cache and check.
Best regards,
Mike
