Hi there
I have just updated the Enfold theme in one webiste and have received the following error message. I now cannot access the wordpress dashboard.
Warning: require_once(config-layerslider/config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/littlefruittree/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line417
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘config-layerslider/config.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/littlefruittree/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 417
Help please.
Thanks, Mark
September 4, 2015 at 9:46 am #498177Hi
I have been looking into file manager on cPanel since I received the fatal error on updating the theme. The file config.php is missing from the config-layerslider folder along with many sub folders and files under config-layerslider/LayerSlider/. I can see the config-layerslider/config.php file in my other websites with version 3.3.2 along with an update.txt file and with a number of sub folders/files under config-layerslider/LayerSlider/. Many of these sub folders and files are missing in the website with the fatal error. The only folders under LayerSlider are demos and includes and there are no files under LayerSlider.
Any idea why this file may be missing after the upgrade? Are other files possibly missing? Can I copy over the config-layerslider folder with all sub folders and files from another 3.3.2 website to try and fix?
Thanks, Mark
September 4, 2015 at 7:36 pm #498581Hey!
Try completely deleting Enfold from your WordPress theme directory before downloading + uploading a fresh copy from themeforest and that should fix the issue.
If you have done customizations then yes you can try copying over the missing files but it would be best to use a child theme for your customizations.
Cheers!
ElliottSeptember 5, 2015 at 1:01 am #498639Hi Elliot
I cannot get into WordPress to delete the theme. I get that error.
Can I (in cPanel file manager) copy over the folders and files for config-layerslider/LayerSlider/ from another website that I have upgraded to 3.3.2? Might that work?
Otherwise, it seems that I will have to uninstall wordpress then reinstall a clean version.

September 5, 2015 at 1:58 am #498643Hi again Elliott
While waiting for your response I removed the config-layerslider folder in File Manager via cPanel. I then downloaded the full version of Enfold and copied just the config-layerslider folder and contents via ftp. Now I can access WordPress. the theme is showing version 3.3.2 and all seems OK. The edits I had made to the theme all seem OK so far. So, it seems (hopefully) that I have solved the problem now. Hopefully it was just that one folder with issues.
Let me know if that sounds OK.
Thanks, Mark
September 5, 2015 at 2:23 am #498645Hi Elliott
Actually, I have just looked more into the website and just installing the config-layerslider folder did not work. It has allowed me into wordpress but the theme seems a mess. So, I am going to download Enfold from Themeforest and do a full reinstall of Enfold. There must be more incomplete folders from the update.

September 5, 2015 at 2:35 am #498646Me again Elliott
I changed the theme from enfold to twentyfifteen then deleted Enfold and reinstalled the theme. Version 3.3.2 is showing. That has worked and I have not lost the changes I had made.
So, all OK now.
Thanks, Mark
