    Hi,
I’ve just discovered that our shared hosting is causing the Fatal Error 41943040 bytes exhausted. I am not sure if we can increase the memory limit but they’ve advised me to optimise the theme. Is there any documentation on doing this? We’re using Enfold.
    Thanks.

    Hey Leislmott!

You can find information on how to increase the memory limit here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP. I’m not sure what you mean by optimising the theme though, I’m guessing the purpose would be for it to consume less memory?

    Cheers!

Thanks Rikard. I’ve already contacted the hosting service and they’ve advised that the share server situation means the memory cannot be increased but they also suggested optimising the theme which I had never heard of – thought it might make sense to you? Looks like we might need to change hosting / upgrade.

    Hey!

Enfold consumes more memory than less advanced themes and it won’t be possible to optimise it unfortunately. I think you might have to look for a better hosting service if your current host can’t increase your memory limit.

    Cheers!
