Hello, I removed the mailchimp plugin previously configured and now the wordpress customization menu no longer appears. If I try to remove the blog sidebar widget (enfold mailchimp newsletter subscription) gives me With debugging error:
Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: strip_tags(): Argument #1 ($string) must be of type string, array given in /web/htdocs/www.sansalvador-associazione.it/home/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/widgets/widget-classes/class-avia-mailchimp.php:153 Stack trace: #0 /web/htdocs/www.sansalvador-associazione.it/home/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/widgets/widget-classes/class-avia-mailchimp.php(153): strip_tags() #1 /web/htdocs/www.sansalvador-associazione.it/home/wp-includes/class-wp-widget.php(535): aviaFramework\widgets\avia_mailchimp_widget->form() #2 /web/htdocs/www.sansalvador-associazione.it/home/wp-admin/widgets-form.php(291): WP_Widget->form_callback() #3 /web/htdocs/www.sansalvador-associazione.it/home/wp-admin/widgets.php(34): require(‘…’) #4 {main} thrown in /web/htdocs/www.sansalvador-associazione.it/home/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/widgets/widget-classes/class-avia-mailchimp.php on line 153
The theme is updated to the latest version
February 23, 2024 at 12:37 pm #1435193Hey EmanuelaD,
Thanks for the login, I see that none of your widgets are working correctly, and there is a pagine widget that can’t be removed, but I don’t see any class-avia-mailchimp.php errors.
Please try disabling all for your plugins and if that helps, then then enable each one at a time to find the conflict.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 23, 2024 at 4:57 pm #1435230Hello, I tried to disable all the plugins present and I also removed one for restricted access. Nothing. I can’t remove the mailchimp newsletter widget page.
Messages continue to arrive on the wordpress reference email that talk about a critical error and necessary intervention. I also don’t see the wordpress customization menu. I should change something in the footer but I can’t see anything in the menu. On the front end side there are no problems, The error code posted previously generated it for me when I tried to remove the widget page of the mailchimp newsletter
Thank you for your attentionFebruary 23, 2024 at 6:16 pm #1435243Hi,
Perhaps I’m not understanding correctly, because I don’t see a mailchimp newsletter widget in your widgets, I only see a page widget:
If you mean the Newsletter via Mailchimp panel in the theme options, then this is a theme option that you can not remove:
If you are receiving WordPress error emails then this is something else and we will need you to enable WordPress Debug so we can evaluate further.
Your site is using a footer page and not the widgets, so if you want to adjust the footer please go to that page.
Are you using a access plugin, like a role editer, one that I don’t see when I login, if so please disable it.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 23, 2024 at 11:55 pm #1435260Hello, first of all thank you for your patience and cooperation
if I enable the accessible mode at the top right in the widget area I see what is shown in the attached screen1
If I click on “edit” in the blog sidebar enfold mailchimp newsletter subscription, I see what is shown in the screen2 attachment
With debugging enabled by clicking on edit I see what is shown in the screen3 attachment
Yes, I’m using a page for the footer because I can’t edit the footer and therefore use the widgets and footer sockets. I should make this change on the customize menu, but it looks like in the attached screen4
I have enabled debugging as requiredFebruary 23, 2024 at 11:59 pm #1435261This is the text code in Screen3
Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: strip_tags(): Argument #1 ($string) must be of type string, array given in /web/htdocs/www.sansalvador-associazione.it/home/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/widgets/widget-classes/class-avia-mailchimp.php:153 Stack trace: #0 /web/htdocs/www.sansalvador-associazione.it/home/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/widgets/widget-classes/class-avia-mailchimp.php(153): strip_tags() #1 /web/htdocs/www.sansalvador-associazione.it/home/wp-includes/class-wp-widget.php(535): aviaFramework\widgets\avia_mailchimp_widget->form() #2 /web/htdocs/www.sansalvador-associazione.it/home/wp-admin/widgets-form.php(291): WP_Widget->form_callback() #3 /web/htdocs/www.sansalvador-associazione.it/home/wp-admin/widgets.php(34): require(‘…’) #4 {main} thrown in /web/htdocs/www.sansalvador-associazione.it/home/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/widgets/widget-classes/class-avia-mailchimp.php on line 153
February 25, 2024 at 4:33 pm #1435361Hi,
Thanks but I’m not getting any helpful debug info, on your customization panel I get this error:
incorect use of “label for=FORM_ELEMENT” and this is breaking the customization panel so nothing shows:
so since you said that you had a mailchimp plugin installed before, I assume that you had added a form somewhere in the customization that is now causing this error, and this is causing the widget panel conflict so that nothing shows and nothing can be added or removed:
If you use accessibility mode you can see the newsletter widget, but still nothing can be added or removed. The error for class-avia-mailchimp.php on line 153 doesn’t help because that is the broken widget looking for a list but you don’t have a API key installed:
So I don’t know how you will be able to remove this broken form in the customizer added by your other plugin, perhaps if you reinstall the other plugin you will regain access to the customizer and can remove the form to correct the conflict, or if that doesn’t help try rolling back to one of your webhost backups before this error occurred, perhaps three days ago, or when you first noticed it.Best regards,
Mike -
