    Hi Enfold team,

Today I tryed to update my enfold theme to the latest version.
Unfortenatly I got a fatal error. I’m wondering if you could support me with this issue.

At the moment I’ve returned my backup so that the website can be reached by my visitors.
I dont know if you still can provide support when te site is running correctly at this time…but with an older version of enfold.

If you prefer that I do the update, then please let me know.

I hope you have a sollution for me to update enfold to the latest version.

    Thanks!

    Hey seesinkb,

Which version of PHP are you running on the server? Also, how exactly did you update when you got the fatal error?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

    Thank you for your respond.

I’m running php 7.3 at the moment.

I did the update manually, because updating via wordpress did not work. If I clicked on check for new updates, then no new update was available.

I did the manual update via FTP. I downloaded the latest version of enfold and copied it (only the folder enfold, as instructed on your support site) to ftp by overwriting the current folder. The current folder was placed in content/themes/enfold.

I followed the compleet instructions as in the instruction video on your site.

I hope this gives you a better view of the steps I’ve taken.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. What happens if you upload the new version to a new folder called something like enfold_new, then activate it to see if it works? If it does then you can delete the old enfold folder and rename the new folder to enfold.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
