Tagged: fatal error, update error
I just attempted to update Enfold to the latest, and now both the site and the dashboard are throwing the same error:
Warning: require_once(config-wpml/config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/gyoung1201/public_html/tu/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 31
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘config-wpml/config.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/gyoung1201/public_html/tu/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 31
I’ve seen similar posts, and your recommendation seems always to be to delete the enfold directory from themes, and FTP a fresh copy. I just want to confirm that this is the recommendation for this specific error, and that doing so will not affect the site design & content.
Thanks!
Hey gyoung1455,
Sorry for the problems. Completely deleting the theme and re-uploading it is likely the fastest and easiest solution you can try for yourself, could you try it out please? Make sure to have proper backups of your site before attempting this in case something should go wrong.
Best regards,
Rikard
