Hi there …
Well, about five months ago I added a FB pixel to my website, but now I need to change it. My problem? I can’t find it, I don’t know which of the many “facebook pixel” solutions I might have used from this Enfold forum. Is there any way to tell based on the source code where it is, how I can change it? Please help!

Check header.php, footer.php, and functions.php files.

Jordan ShannonJuly 23, 2019 at 4:53 pm #1121223Hi there …
I’ve checked all the “usual” suspects, including header.php, footer.php and functions.php files, both in the regular enfold file as well as the child theme folder, and the facebook pixel code is simply not there. I know for a fact it is *somewhere* – I’ve even gone so far as to download all the files under wp-content and doing a content search for the word “pixel” as well as the particular unique code that facebook assigns, but nothing shows up! Please help – I need to change this code to a new one as soon as possible.
If you can, give me a list of other possible locations (under wp-admin or wp-includes???), or if there is some way to discover how the code is being inserted into the website, any hints or ideas are welcome, I’m desperate at this point!
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

July 24, 2019 at 6:19 pm #1121679Hi,
Have you tried disabling all active plugins to see if the issue resolves?
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonJuly 25, 2019 at 3:44 pm #1121929So, Jordan, maybe I’m being completely dense about this, but how would disabling the plugins allow me to find the Facebook pixel??? Are you saying that a plugin would essentially “hide” or erase the FB pixel code when I’m searching for it? My apologies if I’m not understanding what’s happening here, but I know for a fact that the FB pixel code is somewhere on the website, I’m just trying to find where it’s inserted. How does disabling the plugins assist me in finding the code?
*** ALSO *** Let’s say I simply cannot find the code. Is there a way I can insert the FB pixel code on the child theme to essentially “override” the hidden FB code? Doesn’t the code on the child theme essentially lay “on top” of the core theme? Would that work?
Thanks again for your assistance.
