I use a Featured Image on all my blog articles. But when people post my articles on Facebook, the only image it detects is my header logo. This impacts my social media campaign; the image has an effect on post propagation.
I know this isn’t technically a bug in Enfold but it is strange, annoying, and if anyone can help me with a workaround I’d really appreciate it.
It’s easy to see the problem in action. You don’t have to actually post anything to your timeline, just paste the link into the compose field and FB will show you what it comes up with.
February 13, 2016 at 11:07 am #582671Hi mantisjitsu!
Thank you for using Enfold!
Please use a facebook open graph plugin to setup what details fb should pick
https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?type=term&q=facebook+open+graphYou can also set this up in Yoast SEO plugin
Please find more info here

February 13, 2016 at 7:13 pm #582768Vinnie, thank you! Your answer led me on a path to track down the problem. I’m posting this follow-up with more info for others who run into this issue.
I already have Yoast SEO installed and it turns out it’s already adding the proper og:image, based on my Featured Image. BUT, what the Facebook Open Graph Object Debugger (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/) revealed is that it can’t access the image. Because… permissions.
I had my website set up to block hot linking. Even direct access to the images was blocked. Once I went into my web host’s Control Panel and allowed (at least) direct access to the images, everything worked — Facebook was able to pick up my Featured Image.
