Hello, I am having problems with the facebook likebox plugin. At some point, I see it does not cover the full width, and I have not been able to find out why. I think this started to happen a few weeks ago when the look and feel of the box changed now showing the image used in the facebook page?
The problem happens no matter where I use the widget, it could be in one of the sidebars or on ny page content area.
Please see this screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/afeuvtktiqtv5z0/Screenshot%202015-07-26%2009.48.40.png?dl=0The problem is that it has a fixed width, and when you go to some resolutions or mobile versions, it looks bad to have it as a small square instead of filling up the whole widht. I have also tried changing the height size from pixels to percentage, etc, but no luck. I appreciate your help. Thank you.

Could you provide us with a link to the site in question so that we can take a closer look please?
Best regards,
RikardJuly 27, 2015 at 2:56 pm #479091Thank you. Please see the PM with link.
As you can see, the main page has a left side bar, and you can see the facebook login box in there.July 31, 2015 at 3:50 am #481068Hi!
You can try setting the width to a percentage (for eg. 95% works well with the other sidebar items).

If you’re having any trouble please provide us with temporary access to your website, so we can take a closer look.
Cheers!

July 31, 2015 at 1:45 pm #481308Hello Davide. Thank you for sharing that.
Now that you mention it, I also noticed something different with the like box some weeks ago but I never thought it could be causing the problem.
So, is there another way to add a like box or something similar?I just found this: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-box-for-pages
August 2, 2015 at 2:17 am #481730Hello Dake or Rikard, any luck on solving this problem?

August 5, 2015 at 1:08 pm #483284No. It does not look as intended. it should be 100% of the sidebar, same width as the banners above it.
August 5, 2015 at 1:18 pm #483289Please see PM
August 5, 2015 at 1:20 pm #483290Also have a look at your own Kriesi like box on this support page. It has the same width probkem. So it is not my site but something about the way the theme handles the new box.
August 6, 2015 at 5:33 am #483671Hi!
The kriesi.at likebox width is set to 300px which is the actual width of the sidebar so there’s no issue there. You can generate the likebox widget in the following link then use the scripts on a text widget. Make sure that the “Adapt to plugin container width” option is enabled: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/page-plugin
Example:
<div id="fb-root"></div> <script>(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.4"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script> <div class="fb-page" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/kriesi.at" data-small-header="false" data-adapt-container-width="true" data-hide-cover="false" data-show-facepile="true" data-show-posts="false"><div class="fb-xfbml-parse-ignore"><blockquote cite="https://www.facebook.com/kriesi.at"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/kriesi.at">Kriesi</a></blockquote></div></div>

August 7, 2015 at 2:47 am #484248Another thing… I just noticed today something weird. For some reason now some elements are wider. It was ok before, but maybe you were trying things with the facebook box and one of those changes affected them?. I am taking specifically about this:
1. The active pagination number.
2. Product images shown in the quick search box. Please see images in the Private Content section. I appreciate your help!. Thank you.
August 13, 2015 at 1:50 pm #487186Hi,
same problem here with the fb likebox widget.
If I use the the source code in a text box, the width ist ok again! For the duration of this is a viable solution.Regards,

August 14, 2015 at 7:47 am #487566Hello. I have sent 3 messages without any reply in more than a week. I have also sent some important Private Messages. Could you please see the history here? I would appreciate if you could help me solve the problems described in my previous message:
1. The active pagination number.
2. Product images shown in the quick search box.JustITde: Thank you for sharing that solution on the facebook box problem! I will try it.
August 14, 2015 at 8:12 am #487577Regarding the problems listed in my previous message, the ones related to pagination and the quick search box, please note that the little arrow on top of the search box has also been altered for some reason. The only changes I have made are CSS related, using the Custom CSS section, but I have tried removing all the CSS code and it still shows these elements incorrectly.
See screenshot here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fsf75w9qapp2x3e/Screenshot%202015-08-14%2001.06.41.png?dl=0I have revised the files in the FTP and noticed that “/enfold/js/avia.js” was modified some days ago, (not by me), so I was wondering if you made any change in there?. Just to try I uploaded a backup of that file, but still the same problems.
I am not creating a new ticket because I beleive these problems arrised as a result of reporting the fecebook like box issue. I appreciate your prompt help. Please see my previous messages. Thank you.
August 14, 2015 at 9:41 pm #488012Hey!
please send us specific URLs to see what you are showing on your screenshots. We need to inspect the elements. Please clear browser cache and hard refresh a few times and then check again.

AndyAugust 14, 2015 at 9:56 pm #488022Thank you Andy. Please see the Private Message.
August 17, 2015 at 10:57 am #488754Hey!
1. I can’t see any problem with the search box. Please use screenshots to make things clear.
2. Use this code in Quick CSS field:
span.ajax_search_image { width: 80px !important; }
3. Use this code:
#top .pagination .current, #top .pagination a, #top .fullsize .template-blog .pagination a { width: 35px !important; }
Though you are using an old version of the theme, which might cause the issues. Please upgrade to the newest one.
Best regards,
AndyAugust 17, 2015 at 1:34 pm #488892Thank you Andy. About number one, I already sent some screenshots in previous messages. Please see the ones from August 7th, and August 14th. I am copying them again in the private message.

DanielAugust 17, 2015 at 4:23 pm #488980Hello JustITde. I was trying your solution but I am not able to fix it. How did you entered the code? Can you put an example on how you did it? Thank you.
August 17, 2015 at 4:30 pm #488984Hi Ricaza,
I used the code Ismael wrote in #483671.
Simply use a Text-Widget and past the code there (Adapt it to your needs). For me it looks like in the screenshot.
http://imgur.com/oUxIgfqAugust 18, 2015 at 5:02 am #489250Hi!
Please follow the solution we provided above: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/facebook-like-box-width-problem/#post-483671
Place the generated code in a text widget. You can generate the fb likebox widget code here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/page-plugin
