I am already live with another theme at gatehealing.com. I have rebuilt my site in Enfold using relaxasmr.com as a staging site (not indexed). So both have wordpress installed, both have databases set up etc. I could take relaxasmr out of maintenance mode and it would be live as-is.
So, the duplicator plugin looks more confusing than I am comfortable with. Couldn’t I just use the WordPress “Export/Import tool” along with the Enfold “Export/Import theme settings tool” to get the new site back over to gatehealing.com? If yes, I think I’d need to first backup gatehealing.com as-is, then delete the pages/posts, then do the wordpress import, then activate Enfold, then do the Enfold Import settings tool.
Would that do the trick? I think it should–I got my site from gatehealing to relaxasmr using the wordpress export/import tool, so I know basically how it works (I just send everything over).
Thanks for any help. I don’t want to crash the entire internet as I’m wont to do in these types of situations :o)

Hey gatehealing,
I’m not too familiar with those methods. I generally recommend All-In-One-Wp-Migration for site migrations. Its a wonderful and simple plugin for such cases.

I hadn’t seen that one. Dreamhost suggested the Duplicator plugin which was too complex for my comfort.
I’ll take a look. Thanks!
Jon

Please do and let us know how it goes.
