I think Blog Posts Contents Element is very useful. So I am using them for most of my pages and posts.

At the moment, I use Custom Taxonomy entries with Post tag option.

However, I would like exclude some posts from specific categories (it can be several categories).

Can you please help how can I do this ?

    Kind regards.

The question is how to exclude specific categories of posts while I am using Post tag option from Custom Taxonomy entries in the Blog Posts.
Playing around with some avia code did not yield much for me.

    [av_blog blog_type='posts' link='category' blog_style='single-big' columns='3' contents='excerpt' content_length='content' preview_mode='auto' image_size='portfolio' items='3' offset='0' paginate='yes' conditional='' av-desktop-hide='' av-medium-hide='' av-small-hide='' av-mini-hide='' av_uid='']

    Hi WebManager11,

You need to customize the code for the element to be able to do it, not sure if it will work with the shortcode.

If you need further assistance please let us know.

Is there a way, on the blog posts element, to exclude a post if it has a certain category? Most of my posts have two categories. I want to be able to exclude a post from the element if it has a certain category. Right now, I only see how to include it if it has a certain category. So if a post has category 1 and category 2, and I tell it to dispay posts with all categories except category 2, it will still display the post that has category 2 because it has category 1. Is there an option to *exclude* by category?

    Hi MarriageHeat,

Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)

    Best regards,
    Victoria
