Hey y’all, I’ve been using Events Calendar Shortcode & Block plugin (https://eventcalendarnewsletter.com/the-events-calendar-shortcode/) to modify the calendar view in The Events Calendar Pro plugin and, after a couple of years without issues, the calendar seems to have suddenly disappeared (I’m guessing due to a recent update either in Enfold or the plugin). The conflict seems to be with Enfold — the calendar shows if I switch to a WordPress default theme, keeping everything else the same — are y’all aware of this issue by chance, or do you have any clues for me? Thanks so much — I’m troubleshooting it here: https://gobhdev.wpengine.com/resources/virtual-events/

    Hey,

We recently made changes but they should only affect the sites that are using the Event Tickets Plus plugin.

Please create temporary admin logins and FTP logins for your staging site and post them here privately so we can look into it. Please also post a screenshot or an example showing how the layout should look :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

Thanks, Yigit! I’ve included the credentials below, and I left the dev site with Twenty Twenty-Two activated, so you can see the calendar showing at https://gobhdev.wpengine.com/resources/virtual-events/ — if you switch back to Enfold or Enfold Child, you should see the calendar disappear. Lmk if you have any other questions!

    Hi,

Thanks for the information and sorry for the delayed reply.

I checked the Calendar view on both the default and Enfold child themes however I cannot see the issue. I attached screenshots in the private content field.

Could you please post screenshots and show the issue?

    Best regards,
    Yigit

So, that’s the default Events Calendar plugin view. As described in my posts, we’re using a separate/additional plugin — the Events Calendar Shortcode & Block plugin (https://eventcalendarnewsletter.com/the-events-calendar-shortcode/) to modify it here: https://gobhdev.wpengine.com/resources/virtual-events/ (why my client wants to do that is a long story). So, you can see the shortcode from the additional plugin in that Virtual Events page (https://capture.dropbox.com/RDsKEy5krZahvdUv). You can see the calendar showing with Twenty Twenty-One activated (https://capture.dropbox.com/QsvbUNfyMySSPCyu) and not showing when Enfold’s activated (https://capture.dropbox.com/xtTOSRJVyb8t8ezk). Thanks and lmk if you have any other questions.

    Hi,
I see on your page you are getting this jQuery error: jQuery.Deferred exception: this.addEventListener is not a function TypeError: this.addEventListener is not a function
    for /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-shortcode-pro/includes/designs/assets/js/fullcalendar.min.js
This typically occurs when a script runs before jQuery is loaded, such as when Enfold Theme Options ▸ Performance ▸ Load jQuery in your footer is enabled, which it is not in your case. Try checking your other plugin and server settings as it seems somewhere jQuery is being Deferred.
I also found that you have another jQuery error: Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: #wlm_logout# due to your Logout menu item:
    Enfold_Support_725.jpeg
removing the trailing hashtag solves this error.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Thanks, Mike. Disabling all the other plugins doesn’t seem to help, but switching to a default theme does seem to resolve that error and the calendar shows. I have it set to the Twenty Twenty-Two theme, now, and you can see the calendar and no error — https://gobhdev.wpengine.com/resources/virtual-events/ . If I switch back to Enfold, the error returns and the calendar disappears — does that tell us anything?

Hmm, I usually hear back from y’all by now — did this one slip through the cracks on?

    Hi,
Thank you for your patience, I asked the team for any advice about your Events Calendar Shortcode Pro plugin.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Thanks, Mike, but actually, you/they can hold off on this, for now — I just spoke with my client about this and we’ve decided we might switch gears and try to make the default Events Calendar view work for us, rather than customizing this Events Calendar Shortcode plugin. Thanks anyway, though!

    Hi,
Very good, I canceled it, perhaps we should also close this thread?

    Best regards,
    Mike

Yep, you can go ahead and close it, if you like.
