Tagged: image sizes
Hi Guys,
Just a question, we are heavily customising image sizes to create properly sized images for the content.
We are adding in our own image sizes, but for the sake of server storage space (cloud hosting charges data storage costs) we want to trim out any unnecessary image sizes.
So my question is – can you tell me which default Enfold image sizes are essential to the correct functioning of the theme? My developer is nervous about removing some of them as he can see them referenced a lot in code. Are you able to clarify which ones (if any) HAVE to remain to not break the theme?
Ideally we would remove all default enfold ones and replace them with our own custom ones, but if needed we can keep the essential ones.
Thanks in advance,
Tim
Hey Tim,
Thank you for the inquiry.
It may depend on the elements that are actually used in the site. If there are a lot of masonry elements for example and they are all set to use the default thumbnail, then the “masonry” thumbnail should be kept. WordPress also default back to the original image if a thumbnail is not available, so even if we remove all thumbnails, the site should still work fine.
The following threads should help.
