    I got this error when I updated to the latest child theme:

    Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/d8737/hotelladdict.se/wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php on line 6

    Can’t access the site.

    The text on line 6 in the header.php
    $avia_config[‘use_standard_lightbox’] = empty( avia_get_option( ‘lightbox_active’ ) ) || ( ‘lightbox_active’ == avia_get_option( ‘lightbox_active’ ) ) ? ‘lightbox_active’ : ‘disabled’;

    What is wrong?

    I have re-installed both Enfold and Enfold child theme but still get the same error.

    What is wrong? It worked perfectly fine before the update of the child theme.

    I have added login to ftp / wordpress. Please have a look, thanks!

    No help from the support this time ! :(

    Finally I found this post – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/fatal-error-cant-use-function-return-value-enfold-header-php-on-line-6/#post-922937
    and I was able to solve it my self BUT you clearly have a problem with the latest version of the child theme when error like this happens and after an update not able to view your site.
