Hi!
When I try to open a colour section or code block on a specific page, I get an error message. It says: “Error fetching content – please reload the page and try again.” It prevents me from getting into the specific blocks, so I can’t work on them :-(
What could cause this and how can I make it go away?
It happens here for example: http://www.welmoedverhagen.com
Thanks!
Welmoed

May 19, 2016 at 7:06 am #634993Hey Welmoed,
A plugin conflict may be one of the reason for this issue.
To find which plugin is causing the conflict please follow these steps:1. Go to your plugins page > Deactivate all active Plugins
2. Update WordPress and Enfold to latest version if you have not.
3. Make sure all the plugins are updated.
4. If the problem does not persist when plugins are turned off, activate one plugin at a time and refresh until you find the plugin in conflict. We await the results of your plugin compatibility test.
Thanks for your cooperation :)

It seems that WordFence security is the ’cause’ of the issue. When that plugin is activated, I get the issue, when it’s deactivated, all works fine. It now also gives me this message after I click the “error fetching content” one away:
Background Request Blocked
A background request to WordPress was just blocked for the URL /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php. If this occurred as a result of an intentional action, you may consider whitelisting the request to allow it in the future.
Of course I’d like to continue using the WordFence plugin on my site, so what do I do now?

Please go ahead and whitelist wp-admin/admin-ajax.php it should resolve the issue.

VinayMay 31, 2016 at 12:48 pm #640886I have exactly the same problem, but /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php cannot be whitelisted by Wordfence – no idea, why.
Could you whitelist it @Welmoed?May 31, 2016 at 1:01 pm #640891I don’t know how to do that… I was going to ask how I should do it :-)
May 31, 2016 at 1:16 pm #640900@Welmoed, first try to make your changes, which are not working right.
Then go to the settings of Wordfence -> Live Traffic, there you can see, what Wordfence blocked – and there you can whitelist this:

June 1, 2016 at 1:00 pm #641441Hi,
please contact Wordfence Support about this issue. Does something similar happen with a default WP theme too for you?
Best regards,
AndyJune 1, 2016 at 1:43 pm #641482Hi,
I haven’t contact Wordfence yet, because this happens only with ALB elements and ENFOLD, not on normal posts or pages, that are NOT created with ALB, and NOT with TwentySixteen theme, for example (all other plugins disabled).
