    I recently set up a hosting account through GoDaddy where I have registered my domain. I set up WordPress and purchased Enfold and have been following the tutorial on YouTube. I am extremely new to WordPress so it is likely I might be doing something wrong but I have been following directions.

    When I go into Appearances < Themes < Add Themes < Upload Theme – I choose the file and it doesn’t work when I try to install it.
    Now I have downloaded it twice – the first time as recommended and then I compressed the files into zip format. Then I tried downloading all of the files and just tried to upload the .zip file in that package and still it doesn’t work.

    I do not get an error notice on the screen. The title of the tab above says “Failure Notice”
    And there is a box that says:
    “Are you sure you want to do this?”
    “Please try again” (this text is selectable which just takes me back to the Theme upload page.

    Can you help me please? I have not found in my search a problem like this.

    Hey marcgaudet,

    Steps to install the theme:

    1. Download a fresh package of the theme from themeforest.
    2. Extract the downloaded zip package and you will find enfold.zip file inside it.
    3. Upload the enfold.zip from Appearance > Themes > Upload theme

    Ok I tried that again and it did not work. Same result. Getting grumpy now. Please help me figure this out.

    Hi!

    Please refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/install-enfold-theme-with-ftp/ and make sure that you are uploading enfold.zip file instead of the complete zip you downloaded from ThemeForest.
    If you would like us to install the theme for you, please upload it on your server and post temporary WP admin and FTP logins here privately

    I was uploading the proper .zip file. For it worked afterwards when GoDaddy support helped me. And I did nothing different.

    I contacted GoDaddy support and they helped me to fix it – he said it was something to do with the .php and that the theme developer support should have been helping me with this and given me the proper settings?
    He adjusted my hosting settings now since he said he had a WordPress site and remembered the settings he had to use.
    As I am very new to all of this – that would have been good to know in advance and saved some frustration.
    So – as it stands right now it appears to be working. I will let you know if I encounter further issues.
