trying to update my enfold (with credentials):

Any idea what that is?

Ignore, I just reentered my credentials and it worked…odd.

It might be server related. Can you please refer to this post – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ and update the theme manually?

DO I update my child theme and parent theme?

Hi,

Parent theme – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. You almost never need to update your child theme. Only if original file in parent theme has changed :)
