I started having the following show up at the top of the admin page:
“Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, first array member is not a valid class name or object in /home/richa703/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 524”
Additionally, I’m unable to bulk update themes or plugins. I can individually update themes and some plugins, but others say the server is busy, try again later. Bulk update attempts result in “Update Failed: Connection lost or the server is busy. Please try again later.”
At present, all plugins are disabled and I’m still getting all of the above behavior. If I switch to one of the WP default themes, the error message is not there, but I still have the bulk upload issues. I have re-uploaded the most recent edition of WP via FTP, but there is no change.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
September 1, 2016 at 10:40 pm #681032Hey rwwood,
A plugin must have crashed and taking your site down with it please access the wp-content/plugins folder via control panel > file manager or via FTp and rename the plugin folder to plugins-old and your site should be back up.

September 1, 2016 at 10:52 pm #681041And how do I get those plugins back? The site is actually up anyway. If you tried to log in and got a white screen with the message, reloading would have brought up the dashboard, but with that same message at the top.
I just tried what you suggested, but the message is still there, even after a couple reloads and clearing the cache. I verified that the plugin menu item says that it doesn’t appear that I have any plugins.
September 6, 2016 at 1:49 pm #682621Hi,
There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:
Make sure that your plugin’s folder is empty (check it via FTP).

activate a default WordPress theme to check if the error message persists or not and let us know about your results.
Best regards,
AndySeptember 12, 2016 at 6:50 pm #685308Finally solved. After all the updating of files, etc, I realized I had not done the one obvious thing and tried the Enfold parent theme rather than my child theme. Duh. It turns out a function in my child theme functions.php file was causing the problem. Thanks for the patience while I figured out my own mistake.
