    Hi,
    I use the Enfold theme for several websites. Enfold updates run smoothly for most websites. Except for this one: http://www.textconsultant.nl.

    After updating the theme, this (attached) message appears when opening the site.

    So far this issue has been resolved (by 3rd party web developers) by renaming older Enfold downloads and reinstalling the latest version. For some reason the older Enfold versions cannot be uninstalled. This doesn’t seem like the solution to me and at the very beginning a theme update went well.

    I have no clue what’s going wrong here. My knowledge is not sufficient and I hope you can help me solve this problem once and for all.

    Hey 3Vosjes,

    Thanks for the login details. Please try to delete the versions of the theme which you are not using first of all. Then try to activate the parent theme and perform the update while that is active. If the problem happens when activating the child, then the problem is coming from something which has been added to that.

    It worked! No problem happened when activating the child theme after updating the parent theme. This is the way for future theme updates.

    Hi,

    Apparently the problem can be circumvented by first activating and updating the parent theme, and then reactivate the child theme again.
    It’s a detour I can live with. Although I still wonder why this problem only occurs with this website.
